In the latest GfK Metro survey the top rating stations were: 2GB in Sydney with a share of 11.7% (down in all sessions), and 3AW in Melbourne with 15.6%. Not only is Kevin Hillier looking for his recently stolen Twelfth Man gold album and 1977 King of Pop award, he is also looking for his next radio job.A house burglary saw Hillier’s gold album, presented for his contribution to the success of Billy Birmingham’s first 12th Man record and his King of Pop statue for Most Popular DJ Queensland, stolen.
Gavin Wood has shared on Facebook: “Very sad news, my friend and mentor, especially those wonderful years at 4BC, Ross (Rosco) Meldrum has left the studio. One of the best on and off the air. Condolences to Christine and all the family. R.I.P. Gentle Man.” Meldrum was 74. His son Jamie Meldrum died in 2020.
