In the latest Xtra Insights Mackay survey – the most listened to station was Star 101.9 with a share of 20%. Next came Triple M Mackay and Whitsundays with 19.5%. They were followed by Hit Mackay and Whitsundays with 17.9% then ABC Topical North with 13.9%. Click on image below for full details.
Former radio man Don Foster (born Donald Trenery) has died aged 62. He did his radio training at Clarke Sinclair’s 3SA radio school. He worked at several stations including 3SR Shepparton, 3WM Horsham, SA FM Adelaide, 2CC/2CA Canberra, Triple M Sydney. NXFM Newcastle and Triple M Brisbane.
SCA has announced a raft of new content appointments, and newly created content roles, for both its Hit and Triple M stations, as well as a number across the regional network, with more to come. Blair Woodcock, SCA Head of Content – Regional, said the appointments and new roles are a sign of the growth and development of the team, and the strength of the regional radio market.
Coast FM was the most listened to station with 30.9% (-10%). Next came sister station 3YBFM with 16.1% (-7.9) followed by triple j with 6.1% (-0.9%). Coast FM, 3YBFM and ABC Southwest all went down in every session.
