Tilly Allard named Brand & Promotions Director for Triple M Queensland

Tilly Allard has been appointed Brand and Promotions Director for Triple M Queensland in a new role that will see her leading the Brisbane and wider state promotional team.

The appointment is a promotion for Allard who has been Brand and Promotions Manager for Triple M Brisbane, focusing on building and executing major station tactics and campaigns, from Triple M’s Lend a Hand, the iconic Riverfire Rockstar Lounge, Rural Aid Travels West, Tradie for a Lady, and EKKA activity.

She started with SCA in Brisbane in 2016 as a Sales Coordinator, making the move north from Bathurst’s 2BS and B Rock, and was promoted from Coordinator to Promotions Manager in 2018.

Triple M Brisbane Creative Director, Jamie Angel said Allard was power keg of energy and ability.

“She’s scarily passionate about her team and the Triple M brand and what it means. Having her now across the full state and Brisbane activity will mean great things for the on-air teams and our listeners,” he said.

ABC Radio Sydney calls time on the pips

Regular listeners will notice something missing from radio broadcasts, ABC Radio Sydney has turned off the pips, the series of beeps that played at the end of the hour, usually followed by the familiar sound of the news theme. The final pips were played on Thursday November 24. Once used by listeners to set their watches, the six short tones have been deemed unnecessary in the age of digital radio and smart phones.
