Ned and Josh Depart Hit 104.7

Last week the two ARN and SCA joint owned stations in Canberra teased a big announcement, which turned out to be Skyfire returning in 2024. But that wasn’t quite all. On Friday October 27, Ned Breward and Josh Torney did their breakfast show on Hit 104.7 as per normal.

Yesterday (Oct 30) Ned and Josh kept their branding together on their pages but removed any mention of Hit. This morning Hit did the same across all their socials and breakfast happened without any mention of Ned and Josh. The duo would have celebrated six years on air together in the ACT in early December. With both ARN and SCA looking at networking, takeovers and cost cutting measures, perhaps they don’t see a need any longer for two commercial FM stations in Canberra when one will suffice?
