Local Sport is back on 2ST Nowra for 2021

Sports lovers across the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands will be high-fiving each other when The Sideline View returns to 2ST this Saturday, with new host and former NRL referee Luke ‘Pottsy’ Potter. Ever since a young age sport has been Pottsy’s life, from playing in Junior Rugby League and Soccer competitions through to swimming club and representing his region in Surf Lifesaving. In his adult life, Rugby League became Pottsy’s main focus, particularly as a Match Official in the NRL, where he realised a lifetime goal and became the 99th Match Official in the National Rugby League, officiating in 120 first grade games. Since finishing in Rugby League (on the field) Pottsy has continued working as an NRL Game Development manager and managing the Junior League Competitions in the Illawarra and South Coast. With regular guests including former NRL State of Origin star Jamie Soward, Pottsy’s looking forward to diving into everything grassroots sport – from the local Croquet club and cricket competitions through to the Group 7, local baseball teams and more.
