Ian Holland Back On Air

Ian Holland is returning to an on air role as host of the breakfast show at 2ST Bowral from June 14th. Longtime brekky host Graeme Day, who’s done the program for 22 years is moving to mornings.

When Ian is not ‘on air’ he’s often ‘in the air’ as he is a qualified commercial pilot and has been operating his own business, Trans National Air, since 1997, operating charter flights throughout Australia and providing traffic reports for stations in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong.

On April 13 he celebrated 52 years in radio. He’s worked on air and in management at stations including 2VM Moree, 2DU Dubbo, 3UZ Melbourne, 7LA Launceston, Sydney stations 2UE, 2WS, 2GB, 2CH, 2SM, as well as 4GR and 4AK Toowoomba, and 4KQ Brisbane.

    As a fellow resident in East Bowral we used to listen to him when he was previously the announcer on Saturday mornings and the “Swap “ – buy and sell items

Gavin Wood has shared on Facebook: “Very sad news, my friend and mentor, especially those wonderful years at 4BC, Ross (Rosco) Meldrum has left the studio. One of the best on and off the air. Condolences to Christine and all the family. R.I.P. Gentle Man.” Meldrum was 74. His son Jamie Meldrum died in 2020.
