After more than three decades as News Director of K rock and Bay 93.9 FM, Rob McLennan is taking up a new post at ARN, overseeing its newsrooms in regional Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales. He was a part of the K Rock/Bay family for 36 years in total. His final day is Thursday March 28.

6PR has retrenched 40-year media veteran Jon Lewis, replacing his live and local show with an Eastern States program. Lewis has been doing the graveyard shift at 6PR since 1995 but is set to air his final show on Thursday night after being told on Wednesday he was being retrenched.

ARN has announced changes to its daytime programming that will roll out across Australia’s Eastern seaboard in April. The shift will see  KIIS FM presenter Gordie Waters – well known for his role as host of KIIS 1065 Sydney weekdays – taking the reins as Workday announcer at KIIS 101.1 101.1 in Melbourne starting April 5, followed by KIIS 97.3 in Brisbane from April 8.

After a few years with ARN as CD for Wave FM Wollongong and Regional Content Director for VIC/NSW/SA, Barry Keohane has announced: “It’s time for the next chapter. Whatever that might be? I’m proud of the work I’ve done here in Wollongong and with ARN Regional, and the people I’ve collaborated with.

Former AFL footballer Ben Cousins has signed an exclusive deal with a Perth breakfast radio program, expanding his media presence in his home state of Western Australia. Cousins will make regular appearances on the Pete and Kymba Breakfast show on Mix94.5.

Terry Blacker, 101 FM Logan General Manager/presenter, has been presented with one of the 2024 Local Legends Award by Jim Chalmers, Federal Member for Rankin and the Federal Treasurer. It was a ‘thank you’ for his continued service to the local community.

The radio husband and wife team of Luke and Susie have announced in song that their national radio show is ending at Easter.  After 8 years and 2,478 episodes they say it’s ’time for a change.’ Their syndicated radio program is heard on many Christian radio stations throughout Australia. 

The top rating DAB+ stations in the GfK Radio 360 Survey 1 were: CADA (Sydney), Gold 80s (Melbourne), Smooth FM (Adelaide and Perth), and Coles Radio (Brisbane).
