Billy Pinnell: The Music Show

The man that captured radio listeners through his Sunday night EON FM (now Triple M) Album Show, returns to give music enthusiasts an extension of his regular and familiar voice. Since 2016, Billy Pinnell has been busy putting up music podcasts regularly on iTunes via Billy Pinnell: The Music Show, consisting of some of the most eclectic music currently available.

Billy Pinnell’s Album Show was a Sunday night ritual – it has been a destination where many music fans were educated, informed and kept up to date about music. And there's never been another show like it since. These were the glory days of FM radio: unplaylisted and unpredictable. Billy would follow a Bruce Springsteen B-side with Pseudo Echo and KISS. But it wasn’t just music. He would then play an unsolicited single with shout-outs to local footy teams and listeners in jail. He’s highly regarded for his in depth interviews for his various radio programs and for the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia.

Remember when the radio presenter could actually talk about the music? This podcast shows that Billy's motivations are simple - he just loves sharing quality music with anyone who might enjoy listening. In addition to his podcast, Billy has finally embraced facebook. His latest podcasts includes an in depth interview with Joni Mitchell, new music from U2, Ry Cooder, David Byrne, Hall & Oates amongst others, plus some exciting new releases from Aussie acts like Courtney Barnett, guitar virtuoso Ben Rogers, singer/songwriter Catherine Traicos, and Topology who are one of Melbourne's most musically adventurous bands who mix classical influences with rock, jazz and funk.

Billy Pinnell is one of Australia's most knowledgeable music broadcasters,

sharing his love and passion for music, now with multiple generations of Australians.

His podcasts are currently on iTunes, and will soon be available on all your

favourite podcast and streaming services.
